Punch art is one of my favorite techniques for card making. I call it assembling the cuteness! Recently, I was asked to make a birthday card as inspired by the mouse for my friend Nicole's 1 year old nephew. We love the mouse here in Orlando! Just look at how happy Nicole's nephew is! Happy birthday Sebastian!!!
I liked how this card turned out so much, I decided to teach it to 4 people who had never stamped and two beginning stampers during my very first card making class. I was a little nervous, but everyone was surprised on how easy it was to build and loved the results. I was told that the hardest part of this card was drawing the tail by hand!
The retro mouse was created by punching out two 1 inch circles in Basic Black cardstock and one 1 3/4" circle in Basic Black cardstock combined with half a 1 3/4" circle in Real Red cardstock paper. The yellow buttons were created with the Owl Builder punch. The rest of the card is made with Real Red cardstock, Very Vanilla Cardstocks and the Flashback Designer Series paper. Right now, you can obtain the Flashback Designer Series Paper on clearance for $4.39 a pack.
