Welcome to my craft room! Well, on any given day, you might call this my living room. While I've probably been way overdue in joining the Stampin' Up! team as a demonstrator, I finally joined March 2015 under my favorite "art teacher" and stamping mentor, Bilynda McCright. I've been making cards for about 5 years and selling my creations for over a year mainly to friends and family members via Facebook and Instagram #shoplocal! Who would of thought! I swore to Bilynda that once I filled my 3 photo boxes with craft materials, I was done. I also was never going to have a craft room filed with too much junk! "Look at this stuff. Isn't neat! Wouldn't you think my collection's complete?" ~ Ariel. Now, my answer to Ariel would be, "never!"
What kept me from becoming a demonstrator was space. I live in a tiny "row house" style apartment in the historic district of Orlando. With its brick streets, beautiful Lake Eola, and a weekly farmers market, what's not to love! When I signed up to be a demonstrator, my goal was to be a "hobbyist demonstrator". If I'm using the correct "stamping terminology" this means that I would be supporting my own stamping addiction and continuing to sell my cards to friends, family, at my favorite Orlando salon, Lambs Eat Ivy, and favorite vintage store, Etoile Boutique. Soon friends started mentioning that they too would like to learn the art of card making. This started my journey with creating a comfortable space for a small group of guests. Four tables and three returns later, a 4' Feet Folding Banquet Table from Target solved my problem. This table is sturdy and most importantly adjusts to the height of my couch for seating. Here you have it, a tiny apartment, a cat, and Stampin' Up!
P.S. I do tell my guests that this furry thing, Zaria, comes with the card making experience along with a bottle of allergy medicine as needed. Thanks for stopping by!
